Amends the School Code. Requires each school board to itemize all compensation benefits for district superintendents and report this information to the State Board of Education, which shall make this information available to the public.

AN ACT concerning education.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections 10-20.46 and 34-18.37 as follows:

(105 ILCS 5/10-20.46 new)

Sec. 10-20.46. Superintendent compensation benefits; report. Each school board shall itemize all compensation benefits for district superintendents and report this information to the State Board of Education, which shall make this information available to the public.

(105 ILCS 5/34-18.37 new)

Sec. 34-18.37. Superintendent compensation benefits; report. The board shall itemize all compensation benefits for the general superintendent of schools or chief executive officer and report this information to the State Board of Education, which shall make this information available to the public.
