SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

105 ILCS 60/95 new

Amends the Community Service Education Act. Establishes the Community Service Education Task Force to address what level of funding the Community Service Education Program should have. Provides that the Task Force shall consist of 4 members appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives and 3 members appointed by the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives. Requires the Task Force to report its findings and recommendations to the General Assembly on or before July 1, 2010. Repeals these provisions on July 2, 2010. Effective July 1, 2009.

AN ACT concerning education.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Community Service Education Act is amended by adding Section 95 as follows:

Sec. 95. Community Service Education Task Force.

(a) There is established the Community Service Education Task Force to address what level of funding the Community Service Education Program should have. The Task Force shall consist of 4 members appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives and 3 members appointed by the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives.

(b) The Task Force shall report its findings and recommendations to the General Assembly on or before July 1, 2010, and upon filing this report the Task Force is dissolved.

(c) This Section is repealed on July 2, 2010.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2009.
