SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Walter Duane Ludwig of Rantoul, who passed away on March 22, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Walter Ludwig was born in Plymouth, Indiana to Walter and Marjorie (Feltz) Ludwig on February 3, 1932; he married Amelia Sue Rector in Culver, Indiana on November 26, 1954; and

WHEREAS, Walter Ludwig was a generous man who loved to make people laugh; he was a jack-of-all-trades; and

WHEREAS, Walter Ludwig was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Andrew D. Ludwig; and his great-granddaughter, Eloise; and

WHEREAS, Walter Ludwig is survived by his wife, Amelia; his children, Anthony L. (Judy) Ludwig, Timothy A. (Connie) Ludwig, Michelle D. (Jonathan) Jefferson, and Mathew D. (Kerry) Ludwig; his grandchildren, Andrea, Andy (Kara), Kimberly (Ryan), David, Amanda (Briggs), Emily (Michael), Mason (Meghan), Mallory (Josh), Nicholas, Gavin, Landry, and Keely; his great-grandchildren, Samantha, Sylus, Skylar, Grayson, Sterling, Hazel, Everly, and Walter; his brothers, Paul (Kay) and Robert (Patricia) Ludwig; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Walter Duane Ludwig and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Walter Ludwig as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
