HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Delaney Hall of Lebanon on being named one of the top two youth volunteers in Illinois for 2019 as part of the 24th annual Prudential Spirit of Community Awards; and

WHEREAS, Delaney Hall will receive a $1,000 award, an engraved silver medallion, and a trip to Washington, D.C. on May 4-7 for a series of national recognition events; over 29,000 young people across the country participated in this year's program; and

WHEREAS, The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards were created in 1995 by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals and are designed to emphasize the importance our nation places on service to others and to encourage all young Americans to contribute to their communities; and

WHEREAS, Delaney Hall represents the best of America's youth and is a role model to her peers and her community; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Delaney Hall on being named one of the top two youth volunteers in Illinois for 2019, and we wish her the best in all her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Delaney Hall as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
