SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ruth Zimmerman Eschbach, who passed away on November 30, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Ruth Zimmerman Eschbach was born in Beijing, China; her parents were the late John Herman and Mary Bushnell Wylie; and

WHEREAS, Ruth Zimmerman Eschbach was an active member of Union Church, the Progress Club, the American Association of University Women, the Women's Club, and the Hospital Auxiliary; and

WHEREAS, Ruth Zimmerman Eschbach was preceded in death by her husbands, the Reverend Carl Eschbach and the Reverend Donald Zimmerman; her sister, Sarah E. Wylie; and her daughter, Margaret Eschbach Freeman; and

WHEREAS, Ruth Zimmerman Eschbach is survived by her children, Sally "Sarah" Zimmerman, Richard C. Zimmerman, James Eschbach, and Bob Eschbach; her sister, Martha Pride; her brother, John H. (Mary) Wylie Jr.; and her six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Ruth Zimmerman Eschbach; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ruth Zimmerman Eschbach as an expression of our sympathy.
