SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Milt F. Schonebaum of Carlinville, who passed away on December 11, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Milt F. Schonebaum was born May 25, 1925, in Danville, the son of Clarence and Ottilia Demmin Schonebaum; and

WHEREAS, He married Rosemary Thiede on August 21, 1949, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Danville; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Schonebaum was a United States Navy veteran of World War II; he received his Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Illinois University and his Master of Arts in education from the University of Illinois; he taught and coached in the Carlinville school system for 38 years; he was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Guy Baird American Legion Post 554, and the Carlinville Lions Club; and he enjoyed fishing and golf; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Milt Schonebaum is survived by his wife, Rosie Schonebaum; his daughter, Lori Schonebaum; his niece; and his nephew; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Milt Schonebaum; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Milt F. Schonebaum as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
