SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Ruth May (Coleman) Winters Unterbrink of
4 Alton, who passed away on November 10, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, She was born March 1, 1919, in Alton, the daughter
6 of Le Roy and Millie Alice (Blacketer) Coleman; on September 2,
7 1934, in Alton, she married Herbert "Pierce" Winters; and
 
8     WHEREAS, She retired from Saint Joseph's Hospital in Alton;
9 she was a member of the Relief Society of the Church of Jesus
10 Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a volunteer at Senior
11 Services Plus; and
 
12     WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her
13 husband; her brother, LeRoy "Bud" Coleman; her baby sister,
14 Millie E. Coleman; her infant daughter, Ruth M. Winters; her
15 great-granddaughter, Angela K. Pace; and her second husband,
16 John Unterbrink; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Ruth May Unterbrink is survived by her three
18 daughters, Alice J. Pace and her husband, Daniel, Marcella M.
19 Smith, and Shirley M. Fletcher; her son, Herb Winters and his
20 wife, Patricia; her grandchildren, Daniel Jr. and Patty Pace,
21 John and Rhonda Pace, Trina and Larry Mills, Mark and Brenda

1 Pace, Arthur and Melissa Smith, Roger Fletcher, Cindy and David
2 Clendenen, Joanna Winters, Samuel and Akiko Winters, and James
3 Winters and Andrew Winters; her great-grandchildren, John
4 Perotka, Spencer and Courtland Pace, Christa Sharp, Candace
5 Evans, Chanda Mills, Kandice and Stephen Smith, USN Petty
6 Officer Amanda Fletcher, USM Lance Corporal Jeremy Fletcher,
7 Amber, Joshua, and Alyssa Fletcher, and Katy, Sarah, and Jacob
8 Clendenen; her great-great-grandchildren, Ashley Hargiss,
9 Sierra Perotka, and Trevor, Trenton, and David Evans; her
10 sisters, Lucy Jacoby, Dorothy Pruitt, and Mary Redman; and her
11 brothers, Joe Coleman and Paul Coleman; therefore, be it
 
12     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
13 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
14 her family and friends, the passing of Ruth May (Coleman)
15 Winters Unterbrink; and be it further
 
16     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17 presented to the family of Ruth May Unterbrink as a symbol of
18 our sincere sympathy.
