SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary C. Churnovic (nee Chiarmonte) of Joliet, who passed away on October 8, 2008; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her son, Sam; her parents, Salvatore and Vincenza Chiarmonte; and her sisters, Rose and Jodi; and

WHEREAS, She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert L. Churnovic Sr.; her children, Rob (Vicki), Gary, and Mayor Nick Churnovic; her grandchildren, Lori, Matthew, and Timothy; her sisters Dorothy, Ann, Jenny, and Sally; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Mary C. Churnovic; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary C. Churnovic as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
