SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of William Seib Sr. of Collinsville on
4 February 15, 2007; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mr. Seib was born in Bevier, Missouri on February
6 20, 1924; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Mr. Seib was a retired plasterer from Local 90,
8 where he served for 37 years; he was a member of St. John
9 United Church of Christ in Collinsville; and
 
10     WHEREAS, He was past president of the Collinsville Senior
11 Citizens and past president and vice president of the
12 Collinsville Democratic Club; he was a World War II veteran,
13 serving in the United States Army; he was a member of VFW Post
14 5691 of Collinsville; he formerly played in Senior League
15 Softball with the Horseshoe Sports Bar in Collinsville; and
 
16     WHEREAS, William Seib was an avid Cardinals baseball fan
17 who loved sports and enjoyed playing cards; and
 
18     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his wife Ella Mae, nee
19 Quillman, Seib; his parents, Hildabert and Alta, nee Franklin,
20 Seib; his sister, Mary Adams; and his brother, Ronald Seib; and

1     WHEREAS, William Seib Sr. is survived by his children,
2 Patti (Brett) Miller, William (Ann) Seib Jr., Jimmy (Rebecca)
3 Seib, Tommy (Brenda) Seib, Jackie (Chuck) Vollman, and Jane
4 Slesinski; his 28 grandchildren; his seven
5 great-grandchildren; his great-great-grandchild; his sister,
6 Susan (Larry) Carson; and numerous nieces and nephews;
7 therefore, be it
 
8     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
9 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
10 his family and friends, the passing of William Seib Sr.; and be
11 it further
 
12     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13 presented to the family of William Seib Sr. as an expression of
14 our sympathy.
