SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Donald A. Bodtke of El Cajon, California, formerly of Carlinville, who passed away on April 29, 2008; and

WHEREAS, He was born March 24, 1964, in Belleville, the son of Ron and Betty Bodtke; he married Jennifer Ann Arnaiz in Santee, California; and

WHEREAS, He was a 1982 graduate of Carlinville High School and served four years in the United States Marine Corps F.A.S.T. Company; and he was active in Christ Lutheran's Men's Bible Study Group; and

WHEREAS, He enjoyed golf and was a St. Louis Cardinals fan; and

WHEREAS, Donald Bodtke is survived by his wife, Jennifer Ann; his sons, Christian Paul Ortiz and Maxwell Ian Bodtke; his daughter, Hailee Madison Bodtke; his parents, Ron and Fay Bodtke and Willis and Betty Crawford; his brothers, Ron, Jim, and Dan Bodtke; his sisters, Deborah Mefford, Becky Sanson, and Abby Kunz; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Donald A. Bodtke; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Donald A. Bodtke as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
