SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James H. "Wags" Weidner of Gillespie, who passed away on April 27, 2008; and

WHEREAS, He was born Friday, August 26, 1949, in Litchfield; he married Janice Bussone on October 23, 1976, in Gillespie; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Weidner was a United States Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War; and he was a retired pipefitter for Shell Oil/Conoco Phillips in Wood River; and

WHEREAS, Surviving are his wife, Janice; his son, Scott Weidner; his daughter, Abby Weidner; his brother, John Weidner; his sisters, Gerry Moore and Linda (husband, Mark) Kapilla; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of James H. "Wags" Weidner; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James H. "Wags" Weidner as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
