SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lorraine Wendorf, who passed away on January 12, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine Wendorf and her husband, Al, founded Wisconsin Gasket Manufacturing Company in 1941 with the Gershke and Erdman families; they retired to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas in 1975; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine Wendorf was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine Wendorf was the mother of Tom (Mickey), Nile (Mila Tellez), and Fred (Mae) Wendorf; the loving grandmother of Karl, Chris, Ashley, Laura, Sara, Briana (Kevin), Sabrina (Chris), Kate (Mike), and Rani; the great-grandmother of Alyssa, Lindsay, Ryan and Sydney; the sister of Phil and Marge Thompson and the late Marion Jensen; and the sister-in-law of Viola Schwartz and Lorain Williams; she is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Lorraine Wendorf; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lorraine Wendorf as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
