SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Catherine E. Carroll of Spokane Valley, formerly of Chatham, who passed away April 9, 2008; and

WHEREAS, She was born March 14, 1946, in Lititz, Pennsylvania, to the Reverend Charles Jr. and Hester Trunk; and

WHEREAS, Her family moved to Frederick, Maryland, in the 1950s and she graduated from Frederick High School and Wittenberg University; she excelled in her role as mother, daughter, sister, and grandma; she was also an accomplished accountant, working for small companies and non-profits; and

WHEREAS, Catherine Carroll is survived by her husband of 33 years, Larry; her daughters, Megan Maney and husband, Brian, and Laura Carroll and boyfriend, Darin McGinnis; her beloved grandson, Derek Payton Maney; her sister, Peggy Young; and her brother, Charles F. Trunk III; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Catherine E. Carroll; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Catherine E. Carroll as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
