SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Mary Agnes (O'Brien) Shepley of Joliet,
4 who passed away on March 18, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, She was born in Wilmington to the late John "Jay"
6 R. and Florence E. (nee Haley) O'Brien; she was a graduate of
7 Wilmington High School and St. Joseph School of Nursing; and
 
8     WHEREAS, She was a retired R.N., formerly employed by St.
9 Joseph Hospital, and Dr.'s Fahrner, Duffy, and Richards; and
 
10     WHEREAS, She was the former President of the Cathedral of
11 St. Raymond School Mother's Club and a member of the Ladies of
12 the Elk's Lodge #296, the Lady Duffers of the Joliet Park
13 District, St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, the Paulites,
14 and St. Gabriel Catholic Church of Pompano Beach, Florida; she
15 enjoyed golf and playing cards with her friends; and
 
16     WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, George
17 "Ray" Shepley; her parents; her son, Mark E. Shepley; and her
18 brother, Richard O'Brien; and
 
19     WHEREAS, Mary Agnes Shepley is survived by her children,
20 Vickie (Tom) Kraczon, Susan Bertino, Mary Rae (Dante) Neyra,

1 Jayne (Mike) Sinchak, and Jay (Cindy) Shepley; she was the
2 proud grandmother of Dante and Tanya Neyra, Matt, Nick, and
3 Nate Bertino, Emily and Sarah Sinchak, and Kate and Kim
4 Kraczon; she was the loving great-grandmother of Danyele
5 Bertino; she is also survived by her brother, Jim (late
6 Virginia) O'Brien; her sister-in-law, Louise (late Paul)
7 Shepley; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends in
8 Illinois and Florida; therefore, be it
 
9     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
10 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
11 her family and friends, the passing of Mary Agnes Shepley; and
12 be it further
 
13     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14 presented to the family of Mary Agnes Shepley as a symbol of
15 our sincere sympathy.
