SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Joseph Pasinato, who passed away on February 23, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Pasinato was a veteran of World War II, where he served with bravery and distinction; and

WHEREAS, After serving his country, Joseph Pasinato worked as a furniture manufacturer's representative for over 60 years; in honor of his work, he was named a "Pillar of the Community" by the furniture manufacturing industry and his peers; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Pasinato was an active member of the International Order of Alhambra for over 30 years, working with the Alhambra Santiago Caravan #169; he was actively involved with the Knights of Columbus as a 4th Degree Knight, where he devoted himself to working with people with developmental disabilities; he was also active with the Boys and Girls Club of West Suburban Cook County and the Father Ryan Counsel 5025; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Pasinato was the dearly beloved husband of Mary, nee Grossi; the loving father of Marita Jo (James) Estey and Jonathon; the dearest grandfather of Timothy (Asta) Elenz, Lisa (John) Benedetto, Karen (Sam) Cirrincione, Katie (Brian) Mack, and Joseph Elenz; the fond great-grandfather of 14; the dear brother of Angelo (Viola) Bisinella; and the fond uncle and great-uncle of many; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Pasinato will be remembered by all who knew and loved him as a hard-working and dedicated man whose devotion to developmentally disabled people helped those who were in need of kindness and compassion; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Joseph Pasinato; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Joseph Pasinato as an expression of our sympathy.
