SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to express their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Patricia "Peggy" J. Cooper of Alton, who passed away on January 28, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Cooper was born on March 17, 1923 in Dublin, Ireland; her parents were George and Florence (Twomey) Kenny; and

WHEREAS, On June 8, 1945, she married Dale Cooper in England; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Cooper was retired from St. Mary's School, where she worked in the cafeteria; she was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Cooper was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Cooper; and her parents; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Cooper is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Clifford and Susan Cooper and Gary and Carolyn Cooper; her grandchildren, Dale (Meg) Cooper, Jen (Jon) Kenney, and Michael, Matthew, Nicholas, and Kaitlin Cooper; her great-grandson, Garrett Thomas Cooper; and her sister, Anne Arenstam; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Patricia "Peggy" J. Cooper; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Patricia Cooper as a symbol of our sympathy.
