SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Wanda Aten of Banner, who passed away on October 22, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Wanda Aten was born on May 14, 1922 in Ray; she was the daughter of Edgar and Marie (Ashcraft) Cook; she married Paul Aten on September 25, 1960 in Canton; and

WHEREAS, Wanda Aten was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Canton; and

WHEREAS, Wanda Aten was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her parents, Edgar and Marie; her sister; and her foster brother; and

WHEREAS, Wanda Aten is survived by her daughter, Pat (Ken) Fuller; her grandsons, Andrew (Teri), Adam, and Alex (Diana); and two great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Wanda Aten; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Wanda Aten as an expression of our sympathy.
