SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Kevin Sitton of Troy, who passed away on September 6, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Sitton was born on July 5, 1974, in Granite City; his parents were Mary Jane (Gray) and Paul W. Sitton; he married Jill Renee Hellrich on December 21, 2002 at St. Francis Xavier Church in St. Louis, Missouri; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Sitton was a graduate of Granite City High School; he worked in the Madison County Circuit Clerk's office before joining the Madison County Sheriff's Department in 1996, where he served faithfully until his death; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Sitton was a member of the Granite City Elk Lodge 1063 and the Granite City American Legion Tri-City Post 113; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and spending time with his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Sitton was preceded in death by his father, Paul; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Sitton is survived by his wife, Jill Renee; his mother, Mary Jane; his daughters, Rylee and Elaina Sitton; his brother, Steve (Carrie) Sitton; his grandmother, Vela Sitton; his nieces and nephews, Drake, Emma, and Cole Sitton; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, James and Joyce Hellrich; his aunts and uncles; and many other extended family members and friends; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Sitton will be remembered by all who knew and loved him as a kind and industrious person who would do anything to help others; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Kevin Sitton; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kevin Sitton as an expression of our sympathy.
