SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Donald Unes of Chillicothe, who passed
4 away on August 13, 2007; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Donald Unes was born on September 24, 1943, in
6 Peoria; his parents were Harry J. and Sadie (Abraham) Unes; he
7 married the former Sue Herron on September 7, 1968, at St.
8 Edward Church; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Donald Unes graduated from St. John's Grade School
10 and Manual High School in Peoria; he was a self-employed
11 housebuilder with his own company, Unes Construction; and
 
12     WHEREAS, Donald Unes served with distinction in the United
13 States Army Reserve; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Donald Unes was a member of St. Edward Church in
15 Chillicothe, the Itoo Society, and played in the Peoria Park
16 District Senior Softball League; his hobbies included watching
17 the St. Louis Cardinals and painting; and
 
18     WHEREAS, Donald Unes was preceded in death by his parents;
19 and

1     WHEREAS, Donald Unes is survived by his wife, Sue; his
2 daughters, Angela (Michael) Renski and Becky (Michael)
3 McCallum; his son, Scott (Susan) Unes; his step-grandsons,
4 Jacob and Adam Renski; his mother-in-law, Carmen Herron; his
5 sisters, Harriet (Fred) Bostany, Lorraine (George) Shadid,
6 Norma (Maurice) Joseph, and Helen Domenighini; and his
7 brothers, Larry (Pat) Unes, Leonard (Eileen) Unes, Ken (Carol)
8 Unes, and Dave (Marie) Unes; therefore, be it
 
9     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
10 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
11 his family and friends, the passing of Donald Unes; and be it
12 further
 
13     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14 presented to the family of Donald Unes as an expression of our
15 sympathy.
