SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the passing of Nancy Lopez DeLise; and

WHEREAS, In November of 2000, Nancy Lopez DeLise received the Lucille Fillmore Award, recognizing her outstanding contribution to The Fillmore Center for Human Services; and

WHEREAS, The Fillmore Center received $100,000 from the West Towns Visiting Nurses Association thanks to Nancy's hard work; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Lopez DeLise was a member of the Fillmore Center Board for 10 years, working in annual fundraising events; and she was a board member for the West Towns Visiting Nurses Association; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Lopez DeLise is survived by her husband of 45 years, Mariano "Mike"; her children, Sandra (Edward) Davis and Thomas (Jacqueline) DeLise; her grandchildren, Samuel, Henry, Paige, and Tony; and her siblings, Barbara (David) Scherman, John (Nancy), and George Lopez; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Nancy Lopez DeLise; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Nancy Lopez DeLise as a symbol of our sympathy.
