SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Edith J. Merold of Waukegan, who passed away on June 17, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Edith J. Merold was born on June 17, 1910 in Wadsworth and remained a life-long resident of the Wadsworth-Waukegan area; she was baptized at St. Patrick Church in Wadsworth and was a life long member of the church; she was united in marriage to James R. Merold on November 3, 1934 at St. Anastasia Church in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Edith J. Merold was employed at Druce Drug Co. in Waukegan for many years; and

WHEREAS, Edith J. Merold was preceded in death by her husband; and her brother, Edward Armour; and

WHEREAS, Edith J. Merold is survived by her son, Reverend James E. Merold; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Edith J. Merold; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Edith J. Merold as an expression of our sympathy.
