SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Reverend Paul J. Cull of Gurnee, who passed away on June 19, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Cull was born in Chicago on March 9, 1921; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Cull was ordained on February 24, 1945 at St. Mary of the Lake Seminary in Mundelein; he served at St. Genevieve Parish in Chicago from 1945 to 1950, Holy Family Parish in North Chicago from 1950 to 1955, Immaculate Conception Church in Waukegan from 1955 to 1968, St. Attracta Church in Cicero from 1968 to 1969, and St. Dismas Church in Waukegan, where he served as pastor from 1970 until his retirement on March 1, 1992; after his retirement, he assisted at St. Anastasia Church in Waukegan, where he recently retired; he also visited and assisted weekly at the Precious Blood Convent in Lake Villa; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Cull was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary (Koestner) Cull; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Cull is survived by his many cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Reverend Paul J. Cull; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Reverend Paul J. Cull as an expression of our sympathy.
