SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Sue Montgomery of Herrin, who passed away on April 8, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Sue Montgomery was born on October 22, 1932 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri; her parents were Cassius Marcus and Edythe Alene (Bynum) Wolpers; and

WHEREAS, She married Ellis R. Montgomery on April 24, 1954, in Jackson, Mississippi; together they shared over 52 years of marriage; and

WHEREAS, She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Lindsey and husband, Darren; her grandson, Zackery Lindsey; her sister, Joy Brown; her brother, Jerry and Ninky Wolpers; her sister-in-law, Thelma Montgomery; and several nieces and nephews; she was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ellis R. Montgomery; and her daughter, Susan Montgomery; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her friends and family, the passing of Sue Montgomery; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Sue Montgomery as an expression of our sympathy.
