SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Arralean (Luster) Brown of East St. Louis, who passed away on March 18, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Arralean Brown was born on December 4, 1910 in Jackson, Tennessee; her mother was the late Carrie (Miller) Wiley and her step-father was the late Joe Wiley; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd P. Brown; her son, Charles F. Brown; and her daughter, F. Arlayne Brown; and

WHEREAS, Arralean Brown is survived by her son, Reverend Joseph A. Brown, SJ; her daughter, Angela M. Niblett; her grandsons, Barry D. Mahan (Joan) and Christopher W. Niblett; her granddaugthers, Marcia M. Anderson (Amos) and Dennice M. Niblett; her great-grandsons, Michael A. Mahan, Jacob A. Mahan, and Dane C. Niblett; her great-granddaughters, Anna Henning, Cameo A. Mahan and Victoreah A. Proctor; her dear friends, Dora Bailey, Abbie Martin, and Sr. Carmen Chandler, SSND; her fellow parish members of St. Augustine of Hippo Catholic Church; and Monica Sanchez and Victor Proctor; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Arralean (Luster) Brown; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Arralean Brown as a symbol of our sympathy.
