HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the faculty, staff, and students of the St. Germaine School in Oak Lawn on the occasion of being the recipient of the 2007 Blue Ribbon Award from the United States Department of Education; and

WHEREAS, St. Germaine School was one of 48 private elementary schools in the nation picked for this prestigious award, placing St. Germaine in the top tier of schools in this State and the nation at large; and

WHEREAS, The St. Germaine School received a Blue Ribbon School Flag and Plaque from the United States Department of Education in recognition of this outstanding achievement; and

WHEREAS, The incredible success that St. Germaine School has enjoyed would not be possible without the hard work and dedication displayed by the students, the teachers, and the parents, who have worked together to provide an excellent learning experience for St. Germaine's students; St. Germaine serves as a model of the great things that dedication and hard work can do for the children of this nation; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the faculty, staff, and students of the St. Germaine School in Oak Lawn on the occasion of being the recipient of the 2007 Blue Ribbon Award and wish them continued success and happiness in their future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to St. Germaine School Principal Kevin Reedy as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
