HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate Sherry Gravenstein
4 on the occasion of her retirement as an officer of the County
5 Nursing Home Association of Illinois on December 31, 2007; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Sherry Gravenstein has served as administrator of
7 the Stephenson County Nursing Center since 1986; she served on
8 the Governor's Task Force on Health Care Reform from 1993 to
9 1994; she was appointed by Governor Jim Edgar to the Illinois
10 Nursing Home Administrator's Licensing and Disciplinary Board
11 in June of 1998; she was appointed to the NCRS Board of the
12 National Association of Boards; she also serves on the Illinois
13 Department of Public Health Long-Term Care Advisory Committee;
14 and
 
15     WHEREAS, Sherry Gravenstein enjoys cross-stitching,
16 knitting, crocheting, sewing, camping in the Michigan Upper
17 Peninsula with her husband, and visiting lighthouses; and
 
18     WHEREAS, Sherry Gravenstein has been married to her
19 husband, Wayne, for 44 years; together, they have 4 children
20 and 8 grandchildren; and
 
21     WHEREAS, Sherry Gravenstein has developed a sterling

1 reputation as an excellent leader, whose vast amount of
2 experience and considerable talent helped to create beneficial
3 State policies and valuable oversight into the nursing home
4 industry; therefore, be it
 
5     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
6 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
7 congratulate Sherry Gravenstein on the occasion of her
8 retirement as an officer of the County Nursing Home Association
9 of Illinois and wish her continued success and happiness in the
10 future; and be it further
 
11     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12 presented to Sherry Gravenstein as a symbol of our esteem and
13 respect.
