HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Glenda Boling, instructor of speech and drama at Danville Area Community College, on being named the top instructor and receiving the 2007 William H. Meardy Award for Outstanding Faculty, presented by the Association of Community Colleges; and

WHEREAS, Glenda Boling accepted the William H. Meardy Faculty Award at the Association of Community Colleges national convention in San Diego in September 2007; and

WHEREAS, This is the fourth national faculty honor in just six years for Danville Area Community College; and

WHEREAS, Glenda Boling was also named the top instructor in her region by the Association of Community Colleges Trustees in the summer of 2007; and

WHEREAS, Glenda Boling has been an instructor for 23 years; she started teaching part-time at Danville Area Community College in 1994, and became full-time in 2001; and

WHEREAS, Glenda Boling began the theater department at the college and also started offering acting classes; in addition, she is known as a teacher who gets to know her students; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Glenda Boling and wish her continued success in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Glenda Boling as a symbol of our respect.
