HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the staff of Northwestern Memorial Hospital on the dedication of its new Prentice Women's Hospital; and

WHEREAS, The new Prentice Women's Hospital encompasses nearly 1 million square feet of space; the hospital features 328 patient care beds, all private rooms, and a unique, welcoming design; the hospital will be among the top 3 maternity centers in the United States, with up to 13,600 deliveries per year; and

WHEREAS, The Prentice Women's Hospital will also have the largest comprehensive breast cancer center in the Midwest and a significantly expanded neonatal intensive care unit, as well as 2 floors that will be dedicated to caring for the hospital's hematology and oncology patients; and

WHEREAS, Northwestern Memorial Hospital's 142 years of service, along with their continuous growth in the face of new health challenges, is deserving of the greatest respect; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the staff of Northwestern Memorial Hospital on the dedication of its new Prentice Women's Hospital and wish them continued success in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to a representative of Northwestern Memorial Hospital as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
