HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Lucritia Macon of Carlyle, who passed away on August 20, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Lucritia Macon was born on April 24, 1951 in Chicago; her parents were Grover and Lillian Burton; she was raised by Clayton and Lillian Mitchell; she married Theodore Macon of Greenville on September 19, 1981 in Carlyle; and

WHEREAS, Lucritia Macon worked as an abstractor at Clinton County Title Company in Carlyle for over 30 years; she was a member and church clerk of the Holy Garden of Prayer Church in Carlyle; and

WHEREAS, Lucritia Macon was preceded in death by her father, Grover and her son, Joshua Macon; and

WHEREAS, Lucritia Macon is survived by her husband, Theodore; her children, Lindsay, Ted, and Rachael Macon; her foster children, Breanna and Jacob Mitchell; her parents, Clayton and Lillian Mitchell; her brother, Mike Burton; she is also survived by Curtis, Jessica, Chris, Anthony, Angela, Brandi, Brittanie, Colleen, and Matt Mitchell, and many other foster siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Lucritia Macon; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lucritia Macon as an expression of our sympathy.
