HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Dr. David Ginsburg on the occasion of his retirement; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Ginsburg served as Chief of Nephrology at Highland Park Hospital, where he practiced medicine for 30 years when his retirement took effect on August 1, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Ginsburg has practiced medicine for 40 years since graduating from the University of Chicago Medical School, serving as a doctor in the United States Army for two years, including one year in Vietnam; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Ginsburg oversaw the creation of the dialysis program at Highland Park Hospital and created daily dialysis, a ground-breaking treatment that greatly enhanced the lives of his patients; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Ginsburg served as a faculty member of Northwestern Medical School for three years; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Ginsburg plans on spending time with his family, traveling, and perhaps teaching part-time at an area medical school; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Dr. David Ginsburg on the occasion of his retirement and we thank him for his many years of providing medical care for the citizens of Highland Park; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Dr. Ginsburg as an expression of our esteem and with best wishes for a relaxing retirement.
