HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Spartans of Glenbrook North High School on winning the Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois State title; and

WHEREAS, At the United Center in Chicago, the Glenbrook North Spartans defeated Fenwick High School in a 4-1 victory to claim their school's first Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois State title since 1985; and

WHEREAS, Through hard work and determination, the Spartans pulled off a stunning victory, with MVP Will "The Wall" Dodge achieving an incredible 32 saves against Fenwick; and

WHEREAS, The Spartans are Trevor Biebrach, Bret Carroll, Danny Carroll, Danny Chang, Zachary Chiero, Ross Cohen, Will Dodge, Adam Goldblatt, Brandon Goldblatt, Scott Kebler, Seth Levin, Jared Lowell, Jayson Megna, Kevin Memolo, Brian Rooke, Matt Rosenberg, Adam Schloss, David Tulig, Jared Weiss, and Daniel Wijas; and

WHEREAS, The Glenbrook North Spartans Boys Hockey Team is led by Head Coach Mark Brunner, Assistant Coaches Chris Nein and Randy Schlesinger, and Manager Robert Rooke; the school principal is Dr. Michael D. Riggle and the superintendent is Dr. Dave Hales; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Spartans of Glenbrook North High School on their Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois State title victory; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Glenbrook North High School and the players, coaches, and manager of the boys hockey team as an expression of our esteem and respect.
