HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, On Saturday, April 28, 2007, Advocate Christ Medical Center and Hope Children's Hospital, Oak Lawn, will be hosting the Salute 2007 Gala at the Hilton Chicago Hotel at which Thomas F. Shirey, President and Owner of Frank Shirey Cadillac in Oak Lawn will be honored as the 2007 Outstanding Community Leader for his many years of personal service and commitment to the hospital; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Shirey is chairman of the Christ Hospital Development Council and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Advocate Charitable Foundation; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Shirey has been an active underwriter of Hope Children's Hospital and has participated actively in capital planning and fundraising to help the organization fulfill its vision of creating a separate Children's Hospital, Pediatric Oncology Center, and a Clinical Auditorium; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Thomas Shirey on being honored by Advocate Christ Medical Center and Hope Children's Hospital as the 2007 Community Leader; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Thomas Shirey as a symbol of our respect.
