1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the
4 15-year-old baseball team of the Babe Ruth League in Lansing on
5 the occasion of proceeding to the Ohio Valley regional
6 championship; and

7     WHEREAS, After emerging victorious from the Illinois State
8 tournament, the Lansing Babe Ruth 13-year-old team will proceed
9 to the Ohio Valley regional championship in Summerset,
10 Kentucky, then to the Babe Ruth League World Series in
11 Jamestown, New York; and

12     WHEREAS, The Lansing Babe Ruth 15-year-old team hasn't
13 played in the postseason since 1978, an indication of the 2008
14 team's great skill and dedication; and

15     WHEREAS, The members of the Lansing Babe Ruth 15-year-old
16 team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication
17 for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

18     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
19 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
20 congratulate the members of the 15-year-old baseball team of
21 the Babe Ruth League in Lansing on the occasion of proceeding

1 to the Ohio Valley regional championship and wish them
2 continued success in the future; and be it further

3     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to the Lansing Babe Ruth 15-year-old team as a symbol
5 of our esteem and respect.
