HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Marta Cullen on the occasion of being named Citizen of the Year by the Downers Grove Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry; and

WHEREAS, Marta Cullen serves as President and Principal Designer of Dream Interiors, Inc., a full service interior design firm; and

WHEREAS, Marta Cullen is an active member of the Chamber Events Committee; she serves on the Downers Grove Downtown Management Board of Directors and is Co-Chair for the new Downtown Market as part of her role on the Board of Directors for the Indian Boundary YMCA; she has also served as a past Campaign Events Chairman for the Family Shelter Service Capital Campaign and is a member of the Chicago Southwest Suburban Chi Omega Alumnae; and

WHEREAS, Marta Cullen will be presented the Citizen of the Year Award at the Black & White Ball presented by D3 Financial Counselors on September 20, 2008; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Marta Cullen on the occasion of being named Citizen of the Year by the Downers Grove Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry and wish her continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Marta Cullen as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
