1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate Nicholas LeMay of
4 Mount Vernon on the occasion of his 25th birthday, June 14,
5 2008; and

6     WHEREAS, Nicholas is the son of Kent LeMay and Sharon
7 Richardson; and

8     WHEREAS, Nicholas has an Associate of Arts degree from Rend
9 Lake College and a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern
10 Illinois University; and

11     WHEREAS, Nicholas is the bronze recipient of the 2008
12 United States Presidential Award for Volunteer Service; and

13     WHEREAS, In addition, he received the 2006 Illinois State
14 Broadcasters Silver Dome Award for "Outstanding Live Coverage
15 of a News Event", the 2004 Jefferson County Register-News
16 "Superstar" award, a 2003 General Assembly State Scholarship,
17 the 2001 MVTHS Outstanding Broadcasters Award, and the 2001
18 SCOTIE Tournament of Champions Outstanding Speaker Award, and
19 tied for first place in the 2001 Illinois State Radio
20 Broadcasters Tournament; and

1     WHEREAS, Nicholas currently works as Assistant Director of
2 the Illinois Small Business Development Center, as the News
3 Director for WDML/FM in Mount Vernon, and as a Stringer
4 Reporter for CBS News Radio in New York City; therefore, be it

5     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
6 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
7 congratulate Nicholas LeMay on his 25th birthday and extend to
8 him our best wishes for happiness and success; and be it
9 further

10     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11 presented to Nicholas LeMay as a symbol of our respect.
