HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the owners and employees of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois (Marion), Carterville Family Practice (Carterville), Neat Trim Lawn Service (Carterville), McDonald's (Southern Illinois), Fast Print, Fazoli's (Marion), All American Hearing of Southern Illinois (Marion), East Side Lumberyard and Supply Company (Herrin), Extra Help, Inc. (Marion), and Rend Lake Beverages/Mountain Valley Water (Carbondale) on the occasion of winning Illinois State Representative John Bradley's "Good Neighbor" Businesses of the Year Award; and

WHEREAS, Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance of Illinois is recognized for donating money, resources, and time to local organizations such as Coats for Kids, Hands of Hope, Pat's Kids, Angel Tree, and the Marion Ministerial Alliance; and

WHEREAS, Carterville Family Practice is recognized for compassionate service, including going out of their way to assist those who are uninsured or underinsured; and

WHEREAS, Neat Trim Law Service is recognized for keeping prices affordable while also donating services and money to local charities such as Toys for Tots, Create a Smile Dental Foundation, Carterville Lions Club, and the Williamson County Child Advocacy Center; and

WHEREAS, John & Mary Moreland, owners of seven McDonald's franchises, are recognized for donating regularly to local charities and being involved in community activities for nearly three decades; and

WHEREAS, Fast Print is recognized for donating time and resources to the SI Yellow Ribbon, which sends care packages and letters of encouragement to deployed military personnel and their families; and

WHEREAS, Fazoli's Restaurant is recognized for donating food every year to the Marion Lions Club Christmas Party, which provides a meal for over 60 special needs children and their teachers; and

WHEREAS, All American Hearing of Southern Illinois is recognized for donating over $500,000, services, and time to provide 140 children at the Marion School for the Hearing Impaired with digital hearing aids along with other contributions to local charities; and

WHEREAS, East Side Lumberyard Supply Company is recognized for investing in the economic future of the City of Herrin by maintaining and enhancing the building for the new Natural Enrichment Industries facility; and

WHEREAS, Extra Help, Inc. is recognized for donating time, money, and energy to charities throughout the region, such as the American Heart Association, Women's Center, Poshard Foundation, Lighthouse Homeless Shelter, Salvation Army, and several local chambers of commerce; and

WHEREAS, Rend Lake Beverages/Mountain Valley Water is recognized for donating money, supplies, food, and other products for local charity events and fundraisers and donating SIU football tickets to local youth groups; and

WHEREAS, The commitment and dedication shown by the owners and employees of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois (Marion), Carterville Family Practice (Carterville), Neat Trim Lawn Service (Carterville), McDonald's (Southern Illinois), Fast Print, Fazoli's (Marion), All American Hearing of Southern Illinois (Marion), East Side Lumberyard and Supply Company (Herrin), Extra Help, Inc. (Marion), and Rend Lake Beverages/Mountain Valley Water (Carbondale) make their businesses a model for the organizations and citizens of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the owners and employees of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois (Marion), Carterville Family Practice (Carterville), Neat Trim Lawn Service (Carterville), McDonald's (Southern Illinois), Fast Print, Fazoli's (Marion), All American Hearing of Southern Illinois (Marion), East Side Lumberyard and Supply Company (Herrin), Extra Help, Inc. (Marion), and Rend Lake Beverages/Mountain Valley Water (Carbondale) on the occasion of winning Illinois State Representative John Bradley's "Good Neighbor" Businesses of the Year Award and wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to a representative of each business as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
