Amends the Counties Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning issuance of notes in excess of the amount permitted.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning local government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by changing Section 6-2011 as follows:

(55 ILCS 5/6-2011) (from Ch. 34, par. 6-2011)

Sec. 6-2011. Issuance of notes in excess of amount permitted; penalty. Any official of the the County who votes for or otherwise influences the issuance of notes under this Division in excess of the limitations herein provided shall be liable for twice the sum of such excessive notes to the County and shall be ineligible for his office and be subject to removal from office.
