SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

305 ILCS 5/5-5.02a new

Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that the Department of Healthcare and Family Services shall adopt rules establishing criteria, standards, and procedures for payments to hospitals for services provided on an outpatient basis at settings that are on the hospital premises, adjacent to the hospital, or part of a complex of facilities owned and operated by the hospital or an affiliate of the hospital.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by adding Section 5-5.02a as follows:

Sec. 5-5.02a. Hospital outpatient services; settings in which provided. The Department of Healthcare and Family Services shall adopt rules establishing criteria, standards, and procedures for payments to hospitals for services provided on an outpatient basis at settings that are on the hospital premises, adjacent to the hospital, or part of a complex of facilities owned and operated by the hospital or an affiliate of the hospital.
