SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

230 ILCS 10/11.3 new
230 ILCS 10/11.2 rep.

Amends the Riverboat Gambling Act. Provides that dormant owners license, if it is available for reissuance on or after that effective date, shall authorize riverboat gambling from a home dock located in the municipality in which the license was first authorized. Repeals language allowing the dormant licensee to apply to relocate the riverboat.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning gaming.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Riverboat Gambling Act is amended by adding Section 11.3 as follows:

(230 ILCS 10/11.3 new)

Sec. 11.3. Reissuance of inoperative license. Any owners license issued under subsection (e) of Section 7 that is not in operation on the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 95th General Assembly and that is available for reissuance on or after that effective date shall authorize riverboat gambling from a home dock located in the municipality in which the license was first authorized.

Section 10. The Riverboat Gambling Act is amended by repealing Section 11.2.
