SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Rosemary "Rosie" Sullivan of Bloomington,
4who passed away on December 19, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rosemary Sullivan was born in Bloomington to
6Martin J. and Julia L. Killian Kelley on April 25, 1932; she
7graduated from Trinity High School in 1950 and married Michael
8S. Sullivan in Merna on February 16, 1952; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Rosemary Sullivan was primarily a homemaker and
10also enjoyed working at both Jack & Jill and Roland's in
11downtown Bloomington; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Rosemary Sullivan was a member of the Historic St.
13Patrick Catholic Church in Bloomington, where she was involved
14with the Altar and Rosary Society; she was also a member of the
15Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary; she was an avid card
16player and was a member of many bridge clubs and, along with
17her husband, was a 50-plus-year member of a couples 500 card
18group; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Rosemary Sullivan was preceded in death by her
20husband, Michael, and her sons, Mark and David Sullivan; and

1    WHEREAS, Rosemary Sullivan is survived by her children,
2Mike (Ann), Beth, and Kelley (Brad Cook) Sullivan; therefore,
3be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Rosemary "Rosie" Sullivan and extend our sincere condolences to
7her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Rosemary Sullivan as an expression
11of our deepest sympathy.
