SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of United States Army Sergeant Kraig D.
4 Foyteck of Skokie, Illinois, who was killed on October 30,
5 2006; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Kraig Foyteck was a 1998 Niles West High School
7 graduate; he also attended Edison, Madison, and Lincoln Junior
8 High School; in high school he participated in football,
9 wrestling, diving, swimming, and gymnastics; and
 
10     WHEREAS, He was known for his smile and his love for the
11 good-natured practical joke; he loved animals, amusement
12 parks, high diving, parachute jumping, snowmobile riding,
13 swimming, and anything to do with the outdoors; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Before his military service, Kraig Foyteck
15 attended Olivet College, where he continued to dive; he coached
16 diving at Glenbrook South and Maine East; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Kraig Foyteck served with the 2-1 Infantry, 172
18 Brigade, based in Wainwright, Alaska; he was awarded the Purple
19 Heart in October of 2005, after suffering injuries in Iraq; and
 
20     WHEREAS, Sergeant Kraig D. Foyteck is survived by his
21 loving mother, Connie (Michael Londo) Foyteck; his proud
22 father, Rik Gutzke; his brother and sister, Christopher Matsas
23 and Amy Gutzke; his grandparents, Virginia and Jack Foyteck;
24 his uncles, John (Laurie) Foyteck and Robert (Debbie) Foyteck;
25 and his cousins Kali, Blake, Kevin, and Kristin Foyteck;
26 therefore, be it
 
27     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
28 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
29 his family and friends, the passing of Sergeant Kraig D.
