SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Janet Doreen Turner of Gurnee on March 30, 2006; and

WHEREAS, She was born on June 4, 1953, in Kingston, Jamaica, to Cyril and Lucille Bailey; she graduated from Zion Benton High School and attended the College of Lake County; and

WHEREAS, She was employed at Abbott Laboratories for nine years; and

WHEREAS, She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; she was always the life of the party and full of fun and will be missed, always loved, and never forgotten; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Janet Doreen Turner has been deeply felt by many, especially her supportive ex-husband, Richard Turner; her mother, Lucille Bailey; her daughters, Sheree (Dennis) Dunn, and Doreen, Camille, and Dia Turner; her son, Kevin Turner; her sisters, Diana (Minister Arthur) Banks and Arlene (Roger) Brown; her brother, Hubert Bailey; her grandson, Brandon Farmer; her granddaughters, Brittany and Alexis Frierson; and her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends; she was preceded in death by her aunt, Geraldine Lee, and her father, Cyril Bailey; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Janet Doreen Turner, and we extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
