SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the recent death of Thomas Merschantz; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Merschantz, age 47, was an employee of Stickney Township Maintenance Department; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Merschantz was the son of the late Richard and Lorraine Merschantz; the father of Richard Merschantz; the brother of Cynthia (Keith) Ellis; the uncle of Kimberly (Robert) Cyze and Karen and Ryan Ellis; the great-uncle of Nicholas and Madison; the nephew of John Merschantz; the ex-husband and friend of Joanna Brooks; and the friend of Tim Ott, John Kman, and many, many more; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Thomas Merschantz and extend our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
