SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with sadness of the death of David Lingle of Stonefort,
4 formerly of Carterville, on Monday, August 8, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, He was born on October 13, 1966, in Carbondale, to
6 Dennis Ray and Trudy (Roberts) Lingle; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Mr. Lingle worked as a finance manager for Weeks
8 Chrysler in Benton for seven years; he also worked as a service
9 manager at Rice Motors in Carmi for several years; and
 
10     WHEREAS, He was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church in
11 Carterville; he was an avid hunter, golfer, and fisherman, and
12 he was also an avid Saluki fan; he was a co-coordinator of the
13 SIU football fishing tournament; he will be remembered for his
14 outgoing personality and how he never met a stranger; and
 
15     WHEREAS, The passing of David Lingle has been deeply felt
16 by many, especially his father and stepmother, Denny and Janice
17 Lingle; his son, Brandon Scott Lingle; his fiancée, Kathie
18 Powell; his aunts and an uncle, Sally and Kent Parish and Betty
19 Lingle; his uncle and aunt, Gary and Mary Lingle; his
20 stepbrother, Jeff Fisher; his stepsister, Jill Johnston; and
21 his future daughter and son-in-law, Alonna and Troy Winchester
22 and their children Trenton and Lexie; he was preceded in death
23 by his mother, Trudy; his paternal grandmother, Lois Lingle;
24 his paternal grandfather, Terry Lingle; his maternal
25 grandparents, Earl and Camilla Roberts; and his uncle, Morris
26 Lingle; therefore, be it
 
27     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
28 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
29 David Lingle, and we extend our sincere condolences to his
30 family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
