SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Paula Diane Melvin of West Frankfort on Sunday, July 3, 2005; and

WHEREAS, She was born on August 4, 1932, in Chicago to John Jackson and Charlotte (Dvorak) Jackson; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Paula Diane Melvin has been deeply felt by many, especially her sons, David Schoenecke and Steve Reese; her daughter, Bonnie Shileny; her brothers, Charles Jackson, Raymond Lipp, and Peter Lipp; her sisters, Shirley Costello, Florence Cobb, Barbara Peacock, Lorrie Mack, and Marie Welch; her seven grandchildren; her 26 nieces and nephews; and her four loving dogs and two cats; she was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Kenneth Shoenecke, Ray Reese, Jim Vandyke, and Troy Melvin; her brother, Allen Lee Lipp; and her sisters, Dorothy Chopske and Susan Boggs; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Paula Diane Melvin, and we extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
