SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Cheryl M. Jones of West City on July 13, 2005; and

WHEREAS, She was born July 10, 1949, in Benton, to Lester and Eleanor (Hartsock) Broadway; and

WHEREAS, She retired as a CNA from Franklin Skilled Care; she loved bingo and fishing; she was a collector of angels and Indian figurines, had a small flower garden, and enjoyed going to stock car races; she was a wonderful mother and grandmother; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Donald and Kenny Broadway and Carl Goodman; and her sisters, Paula Broadway and Linda Groves; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Cheryl Jones is felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her sons, Ralph Jones Jr., James Isaacs, and Mark Isaacs; her daughters, Melissa Jones and Diana Shipp and husband Larry; her seven grandchildren; her nieces and nephews; her brothers, Dale Broadway and wife Nancy, Jim Broadway and wife Freda, Bill Goodman and wife Sue, and Ronnie Adams and wife Peggy; and her sisters, Beverly Irvin and husband Wayne, Cathy Lamont and husband Joe, and Jan Hartsock and husband Bill; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we express our most sincere regret at the passing of Cheryl Jones and extend our condolences to her family, friends, and community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
