SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with sadness of the death of Eva Mae Goddard of Anna on
4 July 18, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, She was born March 23, 1915, in Murphysboro, to
6 Curt and Alice Roberts Burns; she married Clyde Goddard on
7 April 12, 1936, in Anna; and
 
8     WHEREAS, She was a member of the Anna United Methodist
9 Church; she worked with her husband at Goddard's Seed and
10 Produce store for many years; she and her late husband had been
11 married for more than 50 years; she was a homemaker and was
12 devoted to her family; and
 
13     WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her
14 husband; her sisters, Afton Burns Aldridge and Imogene Burns;
15 and her brother-in-law, Roy Goddard; and
 
16     WHEREAS, The passing of Eva Mae Goddard is felt by all who
17 knew and loved her, especially her sons, Jimmy Dean and wife
18 Edna Goddard and Jerry Lynn and wife Jeni Goddard; her
19 grandchildren, Jeff and wife Teresa Goddard, Mark and wife
20 Amber Goddard, Kelle O'Malley, Shannon Goddard, Ashley
21 Goddard, and Matthew Goddard; her great-grandchildren,
22 Lucretia and Lindsey Goddard, Jordan O'Malley, Dominic Nation,
23 Connor O'Malley, and Garrett Goddard; her nieces, Jane Bauer
24 and Judy Anderson; her nephew, Donald Goddard; her
25 sister-in-law, Naomi Goddard; her cousins, Eileen Wilson and
26 Genevieve Booth; and her other relatives and many friends;
27 therefore, be it
 
28     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
29 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we express our most
30 sincere regret at the passing of Eva Mae Goddard and extend our

1 condolences to her family, friends, and community; and be it
2 further
 
3     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to her family as an expression of our deepest
5 sympathy.
