SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Arthur Pedigo of Herrin, formerly of Royalton, on June 9, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Pedigo was born July 3, 1929, in Franklin County, to Radford and Hattie (Carnahan) Pedigo; he married Bonnie Lee Davis on May 3, 1951, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; and

WHEREAS, He was a member of First Baptist Church in Royalton; he was the former owner and operator of Pedigo Service Station in Royalton, had worked for Baggott-Diuguid Phillips 66 station in Royalton, and was a coal miner; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Benjamin, Rice, and Isaac Pedigo, and a grandson, Pearson Lee Tindall; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Arthur Pedigo is felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife, Bonnie; his daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and John Davis and Tina and Keith Worthan; his sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Margie Pedigo and Everett and Debbie Pedigo; his seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Anna Conroy and Vera Knight; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Arthur Pedigo and extend our sincerest condolences to his family and friends; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
