SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Eileen Veach Lucas of Christopher on Thursday, July 7, 2005; and

WHEREAS, She was born on January 8, 1921, in Christopher to Clyde A. and Effie Mae (Vaughn) Veach; she married Frank R. Lucas; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Lucas was a homemaker and a clerk at Towne Pharmacy; she was a member of Christview Christian Church in Christopher; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Eileen Veach Lucas has been deeply felt by many, especially her son, Robert Skidmore; her daughter, Karen (Lucas) Heise; her grandchildren, Kara Minor, Alicia Thomas, David Heise, Kathryn Joy Heise, and Jonathan Edward Lucas Heise; her great-grandchildren, Taylor and Trajan Minor and Ryleigh Thomas; and her nephew, Ronald Scott; she was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers, and her sister; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Eileen Veach Lucas, and we extend our sincerest condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
