SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Donna Norris Carlson of O'Fallon, Missouri, formerly of Paulton, on Thursday, July 7, 2005; and

WHEREAS, She was born on October 6, 1948, to Clyde and Virginia (Buhl) Norris in Paulton; she married Jack "Ed" Carlson on February 14, 1975, in Paulton, and together they shared more than 30 years of marriage; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Carlson was a retired telephone operator; after retirement she began working at Gordman's in O'Fallon; she attended First Baptist Church in O'Fallon and was a member of IBEW 702, CWA (Communications Workers of America); and

WHEREAS, The passing of Donna Norris Carlson has been deeply felt by many, especially her husband, Ed; her brothers and their spouses, Grant and Thelma Norris, Bob and Jane Norris, Jerry and Yvonne Norris, Harvey and Karen Norris, Danny and Linda Norris, Rex and Annabelle Norris, Marvin Norris, and Albert Norris; her special niece, Lisa Norris; her special nephew, Dave Norris; and her many nieces and nephews; she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jackie Don Norris; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Donna Norris Carlson, and we extend our deepest sympathy to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our sincere condolences.
